Paul R. Crist, 92, of Waldron, Mich., died March 15, 2012, at Hillsdale Community Health Center. 

He was born Feb. 5, 1920, in Waldron, the son Ozzie and Ruth Annie (Hinkle) Crist.  He married Ila Ruth Hall on July 31, 1948, in Waldron, and she preceded him in death.

Paul was a life-long Waldron area resident and farmer.  He graduated from Waldron High School in 1937, earned a degree in agriculture from Michigan State College, was a member of the Waldron Board of Education for 13 years and the Waldron 4-H Club.

Paul is survived by one daughter, Kathryn Crist of Waldron; one son, Michael (and Krystal) Crist of Waldron; two grandchildren, Christopher Michael (and Jennifer) Crist of Pioneer, Ohio, and Eric Charles (and Kristan) Crist of Blissfield, Mich.; one sister, Margaret Fellows of Howell, Mich.; three stepsons and several step-grandchildren.

Funeral services are planned at 2:30 p.m. Monday, March 19, at Eagle Funeral Home in Hudson, with Pastor Kim Repp officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Ransom Township, Mich.  Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 p.m. Sunday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
