Richard E. Reeder, 79, of Manitou Beach, Mich., died Friday, June 16, 2006, at Faith Haven Senior Care Centre in Jackson, Mich. He was born Aug. 22, 1926, in Dayton, Ohio, to Charles and Hazel (Brooks) Reeder. He married Phyllis E. Brownlee March 6, 1944, in Payola, Kansas, and she preceded him in death on July 5, 2005.

Richard retired from Wayne Broach in Morenci and was a U. S. Navy World War II Veteran.

Surviving Richard, is one daughter, Susan Crawford of Manitou Beach; three sons, Paul (and Helen) Reeder of Jackson, Jack (and Lois) Reeder of Hudson and Robert (and Pat) Reeder of Manitou Beach; one daughter in-law, Kathy Reeder of Clark Lake, Mich.;16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sisters; one brother; two sons, Richard and Mike; a grandson, Scott; and a great-granddaughter, Allison.
