Amy Jo Pennington of Fayette, Ohio, and Joshua Daniel Carter of Holland, Ohio, have announced their engagement.

Amy is the daughter of Gary and Luann Pennington. She is a graduate of Evergreen High School. She will graduate with a music education degree from  the University of Toledo in May.

Joshua is the son of Bill and Debbie Carter. He is a Springfield High School graduate. He will graduate with a criminal justice degree from Bluffton College in May.

The couple is planning an Aug. 6, 2011, wedding at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Adrian.
