Andrea Berry joins Morenci teaching staff 09.22.2010
Morenci Area High School students have a Spanish teacher in place with the hiring of long-term substitute Andrea Berry.
The Blissfield native earned a teaching certificate from Adrian College more than a decade ago, but stayed home to raise her children who are now 10 and 8 years old.
Andrea has worked as a substitute teacher in the Monroe Jefferson district and she’s worked with migrant families in Blissfield.
She’s also taking post-graduate classes in Siena Heights University’s Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages program.
There’s something new with the Berry family: roller skating. Andrea said after her husband’s physician prescribed exercise, they decided the skating rink would be a good place to follow the doctor’s orders.
She’s enjoying her new job in Morenci and said the staff has been very welcoming.
