Greg Shoemaker and Mindy Smith have announced their engagement.

Greg is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Shoemaker of Morenci. He is a graduate of Ferris State University and is employed as a scheduler for Gendron Corp. in Pioneer, Ohio.

Mindy is the daughter of Delores and Joel Post of Jerome, Mich., and the late Tommy Smith. She is a graduate of Hillsdale Beauty College. She is employed as a hairstylist at Trends Hair Design in Addison, Mich., and is an independent consultant for Jewel Kade Charmware.

The couple is planning a May wedding.
