Kay is the daughter of Larry and Rosemary Dickerson. She is a graduate of Morenci Area High School and Central Michigan University. She is employed as a researcher in an research and development lab for Ransom and Randolph.

Jason is the son of Craig and Sherry Holubik. He is a graduate of Deerfield High School and Siena Heights University. He is employed as an educator in the Madison School District.

The couple is planning a June 19, 2010, wedding at St. Alphonsus Parish in Deerfield.
