It wasn’t too many years ago that Ashley (Garrow) Joughin walked the hallways of Morenci schools as a student. Now she’s back as a teacher.

Ashley earned a teaching degree in mathematics and English from Siena Heights University and she chose Morenci for her student teaching experience, working with Kim Mohr.

She’ll work with students in sixth, seventh and eighth grade at Morenci Middle School with three math classes.

Next week she’ll also begin coaching the seventh grade volleyball team.

She and husband, Justin, enjoy camping and playing with their one-year-old daughter, Evelyn.
