Mr. and Mrs. Tom Smith of Morenci recently celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Tom Smith and Betsey Trowbridge were united in marriage June 14, 1969, at Rollin Center Methodist Church in Manitou Beach, Mich.

Tom is retired from the Navy and Walters-Dimmick. Betsey retired from Adrian Public Schools where she was employed as a teacher.

The couple has two children, Michelle (and Richard) Stevens of Morenci and Monica (and Dennis) Blackwell of Lambertville, Mich. They also have five grandchildren.

The Smith family celebrated in Frankenmuth, where Tom and Betsey spent their first anniversary.
