Seneca and Medina township elections 4.9
In both townships, terms are expiring for all five board members and officers. That might not make much difference in Medina Township where all the incumbents are planning to run again, said treasurer Ruth Ann Mansfield, but it’s different story in Seneca. There will be at least three new members there.
Medina Township officers are Jim Craig, supervisor; Suzette Burk, clerk; Mansfield, treasurer; and trustees George Cleghorn and Jack Quigley.
Seneca Township supervisor Kiel Plummer is undecided whether or not he will seek another term in office. Clerk Kim Quist and treasurer Becky Metcalf have both decided against another run.
Plummer was told that trustee Don Emmons will step down at the end of his term while Chris White will seek another term.
Petitions must be filed with township clerks by May 13 in order to appear on the ballot. Petitions must have at least three but not more than 10 signatures of registered voters who reside in the township.
