Consumers Energy decided to “disrupt service” to the entire City of Morenci in the dead of night in the dead of winter for maintenance. This was to be done on Feb. 6, from midnight to 7 a.m. or later.

Thanks to the Telegram, Observer, Reneé at City Hall, Tom at the Dept. on Aging, and Rep. Nancy Jenkins’ office, my calls and hopefully the calls of many other concerned citizens made a difference. This maintenance has been postponed.

The message is simple: get involved.
