For current events, if I had to choose between one daily paper-and-ink newspaper and all the radio, television and internet available, I would choose the newspaper. Why? Because the newspaper does not incessantly, incoherently chatter away at me. Instead, with quiet dignity, the newspaper makes its content available.

In spite of all our electronic gadgets, the newspaper remains the heart and soul of a community.
