To the parties concerned about the Vreba-Hoff “factories:”
I understand that all humans have their right to their own opinion, and I have heard many. All I want to say is maybe instead of looking at the negative you should turn your attention to a positive.
Do any of you really think that all the complaining is doing anything other than voicing your opinion? Obviously the “factories” have more than their means to take care of any fines that are thrown their way, (as the articles in the papers state, they are working with the DEQ), and it doesn’t look like they are going to go away any time soon. They just keep growing, so maybe it is time to start to become dairy free. Hit them where it may hurt, and stop buying dairy products!
Is that an option? No, not to many. It is just easier to voice opinions. But I guess the positive (they do supply us with dairy products) is not important.
As far as the parade through town, you may be able to get them to stop going through town, but they will still be going. Do I agree with what they are doing? Not all the time. But I also know that they are not going to disappear either. Why are these tankers any different than other semis or large machinery that happen to go through town? Oh, of course, because they don’t have Vreba-Hoff written on the door.
Pick battles that are within your limits to control, or get over them. This is my opinion.– Tina Bischoff Wabash Road, Waldron
