From this week's State Line Observer:
SEASON BEGINS—Football captains from Morenci and Jonesville watch as the head referee tosses a coin into the air to determine which team will receive the season-opening kickoff. Jonesville got the ball first and scored almost immediately, but the Bulldogs came back and had the lead for nearly all of the final 15 minutes of the game. The Comets made it into the end zone with 27 seconds to play and won the game 37-30.
