rally.march.jpgThis year’s Junior Chair of the Fulton County Relay for Life, Kellen Keiser of Fayette, stepped to the microphone last week to talk about how leukemia has affected his life.

“Last year at this time, I was laying in a hospital bed hearing the words ‘you have cancer’. And when you hear those words it changes who you are emotionally, physically. And in every way, it’s a strengthening experience more than anything.

Through it all, I’m still the same kid. I give smart remarks, probably more often than I should. But it’s really bonded my family; brought the community very close.  Seeing how strong and close a family and a community can be. It’s just really inspiring and I want to thank you all for coming out and really supporting me through it all.”
