Gawker covers the exchange between the NYT’s famous puzzle-master, Will Shortz, and a reader about the word “illin.” Will used the word in a puzzle and gave the clue “wack, as in hip-hop.” The reader wrote:
The clue for 28 down reads “Wack, in hip-hop,” and the answer provided is “ILLIN.” These are not the same things, at all!
