That’s a relief

It was cooler yesterday, only 96 degrees. I think that makes 14 or 15 days in the 90s this month. The only good thing about the heat wave is that climate change doubters often mix up day-to-day changes in weather as meaningful in the long run. “Five below zero and they say there’s global warming?” That sort of response. At least now maybe they’ll think it’s getting warmer.

I think I mentioned on this blog before that I happened to be in a place of business last winter when it happened to snow quite a bit. While sitting there, the owner’s father walked past me and after acknowledging my presence, laughingly said, “I think I’ll go home and shovel me some global warming”.

    I wanted to smack him.

We have no positive determination how certain civilizations completely disappeared or were wiped out over the thousands of centuries but like some scientists, my theory is that exactly what is happening now probably occurred. What with places like Oklahoma experiencing over 100ª temps for almost a month–water holes drying up, cattle dying, crops gone, it would seem like the perfect recipe for annihilation.

I’ve made simular comments about global warming during winter months.

I have to admit that I lean toward the “it’s probably happened before” side.

As long as you have people like Al Gore making millions from “the sky is falling” believers and spending thousands for his own utilities the skeptical side of me simply cannot swallow the “facts” that man has caused the global warming. Which is now being called “climate change”.

Yup, in my way of thinking, (which isn’t always correct) we DO have “climate change”.

It’s called “Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter”….
