I don’t think I mentioned this massive project by the New York Times about a skiing accident in Washington. I’m impressed by the excellent work. It shows how the work of newspapers is changing. Well, at least some newspapers. Now let me go back to sleep.

That ability to write such descriptive prose is an artform which is rarely seen outside novels. Wonderfully written…it was almost as if I could feel the snow on my face and smell the cold, pine-filled scented air.
I wish I had learned to ski. Not many snow-covered slopes in southern Illinois.
I’m glad my grandsons are good at it.
Beautiful piece of writing – for a mediocre skier who truly learned in the Rockies, a sobering reminder of what can happen in a moment.
