Photographer Phillip Toledano created a photo essay that he calls “The Reluctant Father.” It tells of his conversion from being an outsider in regard to parenthood to eventually feeling the love:
Did I feel a tsunami of love wash over me? Not really. If anything, it just seemed absurd that I was a father. ME! A father!
