Creepy-crawly?
The American Sleep Association has announced the launch of Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) Awareness Week. The international week-long event begins February 1. Sleep professionals will be available in all 50 U.S. states providing information about RLS symptoms and treatment to media and the general public.
Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a sensory disorder causing an urge to move the legs or arms. The urge to move is often due to unpleasant sensations in the limbs that occur while at rest. People with RLS often describe the sensation as tingling, burning, or creepy-crawly. They experience brief, temporary relief by moving the limbs. There may be reversible causes that contribute to RLS. There are several treatment options available for the treatment of restless legs syndrome.
