Philip Levine

I’m a long-time fan of Michigan poet Philip Levine. He’s the featured poet today at the Borzoi Reader:

Low and gray, the sky
sinks into the sea.
Along the strand stones,
busted shells, bottle tops,
dimpled beer cans.

Go here for the entire poem “My Fathers, the Baltic.”
