Each week I receive an unsolicited e-mail from the Top Ten Real Estate Deals website. I’ve always done a quick delete until today. There’s a castle in Tennessee that was selling for $28.5 million, but now it’s selling without reserve to the highest bidder. I see that Sarah Palin bought a mansion in Arizona for only $1.7 million (what? she’s no longer one of us?). Glenn Beck took a 27% loss on his New York mansion built in 2004 (originally priced at $6.5 million; it’s been a long time since he was one of us). Ellen Degeneres is selling her $49 million home and Carol King is selling her $16 million ranch in Idaho where she’s lived for about 30 years.
