Not much left

There wasn’t much left of the former Dunbar building (now owned by the City of Morenci) when this photo was taken shortly before 10 a.m. There were five or six steel beams inserted into the brick of the Observer building, courtesy of an easement signed in 1939. In addition, the building had no north wall. Instead, a layer of plaster was applied to the Observer brick. I’ve been mowing my lawn, but I assume the entire building is gone now. The debris will be hauled away and the parking lot project will get underway eventually.

    I’m thinking “mural.”

Or maybe a billboard for American Inland Tuna?

IMHO, if the city would simply use the existing concrete and only add more ‘crete to the gravel alley and parking area they could save time AND money.

The existing curb cutouts could be retained with diagonal style parking. Enter the lot using the south cutout and exit via the north cutout.

I know it may seem to be oversimplified but there isn’t anything wrong using the KISS method. Even IF government is involved.
