I receive alerts about new items listed at the Snopes urban legends website. Most things are Obama this and Obama that (such hatred out there), but here’s something that you’ve wondering about:

• Do the personalities of the dwarves in Disney’s “Snow White” really represent the seven stages of cocaine addiction? Do you really have to ask? I’ve been a little Sneezy myself lately.

• Is it really a federal crime to make a silly face into a security camera?

• Can a fire ant colony really be killed by pouring a some club soda onto the mound?

As people continue to get loonier and loonier, Snopes becomes a more and more important resource.
