Hair did

He who practically never watches television has become addicted to 30 Rock. My wife and I watch the old seasons via Netflix instant play. The episodes are 21 minutes long and it’s fairly easy to sneak in one or two a few times a week.

I mentioned recently that I had a guy climb our antenna and install new coax cable (Brian from George’s Antenna; what an excellent employee George has with Brian) because Thanksgiving dinner was going to be at our house and we were only getting a couple of stations after the digital switchover.

Occasionally I turn TV on just to see what’s available. I don’t think I’ve watched anything; just observed what’s there and how reception varies from day to day. One time I discovered that 30 Rock is not a cable show and I could watch it on a Thursday night, if the reception is good. Brian explained that Channel 24 is the hardest one to get.

It came in last Thursday and I watched Tracy Jordan and his wife converse:

“I need to get my hair did.”
“You got your hair did last week.”
“Tracy Jordan, I get my hair did every week and I’m going to get it did.”
