Ray Lennard of Hudson’s William Thompson House Museum has a page on the museum blog about the death of Gen. Grant in 1885. Many communities in the north scheduled funeral services. See the program for Morenci here. You could call him Pres. Grant, too, of course, but this item is in reference to the Civil War.
