From the air

My youngest younger daughter is back in the U.S. and sent this photo from the plane window while flying from San Francisco to Chicago. Nothing too astounding about the photo, but I was surprised to receive it while she was in flight. The plane was late so she paid five bucks for WiFi so she could let her connection in Chicago know.

That’s amazing to me (as of 2012) to take a photo from an airplane and it arrives in Morenci a few seconds later.

    David, David, David.
I think the Morenci “airport” has been closed for a few years. Are you sure it arrived in Morenci and not the original Chicago destination…… ; )

I’m not sure what you’re saying Mr. Red. The photo arrived on my computer in Morenci.

A simple play on words in my own ‘lil mind.

“That’s amazing to me (as of 2012) to take a photo from an airplane and it arrives in Morenci a few seconds later.”

I was imagining the plane arriving in Morenci a few seconds later.

The wording reminded me of a sketch from Saturday Night Live where the saying “You can’t look at the sun too long.” was taken 2 different ways.

Ah yes, lesser and David; the confusion centers around the antecedent of the word “it”. Does “it” refer to the photo or the airplane? This probably could have been avoided if the sentence went thusly:
“…to take a photo from an airplane and the photo arrives in Morenci a few seconds later”.

“A simple play on words in my own li’l mind” is well taken, lesser, and one in which only you would make the observation, no doubt.
