Finally it’s wet

It was pouring in Canandaigua yesterday and the streets were dry when I returned to Morenci. And there wasn’t a whole lot of rain to talk about the rest of the afternoon. But we finally ended up with 0.94 which is just amazing considering the past six weeks.

It will soon be time to get out and mow the weeds.

  • But witnesses didn’t agree… Britain has opened up its UFO files to the public. What fun. Here’s an overview and just one sample:

    “Saucer-shaped, domed top, brilliant white light with flashing light top and bottom” – RAF suggested it could have been an airship, but witness didn’t agree.

  • The fringe now and then: Are they any wackier than 50 years ago? Rick Pearlstein concludes it’s the press that’s gone wacky in coverage.     Although we’re still waiting for ostrich to replace beef and British wine to take off, it doesn’t stop the soothsayers gazing into their crystal balls.
