End times

I receive the Weekly Prophecy Newsletter via e-mail from Endtime Ministeries listing what they find as frightening news pointing toward the end of the world as we know it. There’s more at endtime.com, but here are a couple notices for the week:

World Religion: Fight Looms Over ‘Religious Defamation’
Supporters and opponents of the annual United Nations’ “defamation of religion” resolution are gearing up for what may be the biggest battle yet. Islamic states have been roused by recent controversies in the US, and critics have a growing awareness about blasphemy laws. This December, for the sixth consecutive year, the UN General Assembly (UNGA) will vote on a resolution calling on governments to act against “religious defamation.”

World Government: Moldova ratifies treaty to establish ICC
Moldova has become the latest country to ratify the treaty establishing the International Criminal Court (ICC), which is tasked with trying people accused of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes. The country ratified the 1998 Rome Statute, bringing the total number of States parties to 114. The ICC was set up in 2002 after the number of ratifications passed 60 that year.

I just heard a tech podcast that agrees “The Times They Are A-Changin”. It’s a conversation between Leo Laporte (podcaster) and Don Tapscott author of a new book “MacroWikinomics”.
I can’t remember any references to religion in the podcast but plenty of endtime talk about how our economy and some institutions can never go back to the way it was. Here’s the 33 minute audio piece- http://bit.ly/bpUAgA
