Morenci and Waldron played a great first half; the second half was enjoyed only by Morenci fans. The Spartans lost their early intensity and the Bulldogs won 78-48. Next comes the regional opener Tuesday at Wyandotte Mt. Carmel.
Morenci plays Camden Frontier, who defeated formerly unbeaten and number-two ranked Hillsdale Academy, 55-54. Some people aren’t surprised at that, claiming Hillsdale Academy was way overrated. Morenci knows something about Camden; we lost to them earlier in the season.
