Lots of birds left homeless

We use to worry about this falling years ago, wondering who might be passing underneath when it went. Some repair was done since then, but the overhang toppled this morning. I hear that a truck is suspected of having made contact with it.

In case you don’t recognize the building, it’s the once-lovely oldest private hospital in Lenawee County next to the Observer. It still has a beautiful parquet floor inside, but the back had been allowed to rot and the upper windows have been open for years.

I wasn’t here when it happened. I wonder if anyone is underneath.
