		<description><![CDATA[I actually believe that bartering is an admirable tactic. I&#039;ll rototill your garden plot if you&#039;ll do a 12 point inspection under the hood of my 1989 Acura. I think if there would be more of those kinds of trade-offs, several things could be accomplished at once: no need for money to change hands; people would learn additional skills to be able to barter successfully and a certain camaraderie would undoubtedly develop between those doing the trade-offs. As a result, we would come in contact with those we might never meet under ordinary circumstances. However, realistically, this would never work on a large scale in today&#039;s world (such as the goofy Sue Lowden suggested). I can&#039;t think of one professional who wouldn&#039;t be insulted at the very idea. &quot;Okay, Doc--I&#039;ll mow your lawn for the entire summer if you&#039;ll do my wife&#039;s appendectomy for nothing&quot;.
