Fayette residents have until 4 p.m. Aug. 23 to file petitions to run in the Nov. 6 general election.

Voters will choose a mayor and two village council members.

As of Monday, only Eugene Rosinski had filed a petition for council at the Board of Elections office in Wauseon.

The term of mayor Anita VanZile expires this year and she has indicated that she will seek another four-year term.

The council terms of Mike Maginn and Ruth Marlatt also expire this year. Both have indicated they will try for another four-year term in office.
