Gorham Fayette Board of Education members filled three staff positions, but learned of another resignation.

Rebecca Nelson was offered a one-year contract to teach high school English and Geoffrey Gilmore was offered a one-year contract to serve as junior high/high school guidance counselor.

Board members also hired Wauseon resident Ashley Oyer to serve as girls varsity basketball coach.

The board learned that band director Teri Lee Carl has taken a job in another school district. Her resignation will be approved at the July 16 meeting. Carl has served as the district’s band director since the start of the 2004 school year.
