The Morenci Athletic Boosters is in a precarious position, says officer Carrie Dillon.

It’s not that the group’s finances are in trouble. Instead, it’s the lack of participation by athletes’ parents that is endangering the organization.

Without assistance from people willing to spend some time helping out with projects, the Boosters group is doomed.

That would be a big loss, Dillon says. As a member of the Morenci Board of Education, she knows that finances are tight, including those designated for athletics.
