A trial date has been set next year for a lawsuit filed by former Morenci Elementary School principal Jeanie Thompson and her husband, Scott.

Jeanie Thompson alleges that school superintendent Kyle Griffith and the Morenci Board of Education acted fraudulently and in breach of contract in the events that led up to the loss of her job last summer.

Her husband’s suit is for loss of consortium in the marriage.
