Lois Jean Longberry Waack, 78, of Aiken, S.C., died May 7 in Aiken.

She was born in 1929 in Antwerp, Ohio, the daughter of John and Francis Tyler Longberry.

A long-time Wauseon resident, Lois worked as a registered nurse at Fulton County Health Center before retiring to Aiken in 1997. She was an accomplished cook and homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards and gardening.

Lois is survived by her husband, Patrick Waack; a daughter, Connie Waack Stevenson of Aiken; two sons, Jeffrey (and Penny) Waack of Wauseon and Steve (and Janice) Waack of Aiken; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert (and Fran) Longberry of Findlay, Ohio.

Visitation is planned from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Barnes Funeral Chapel in Delta, Ohio.
