Evadnah Schoonover, 96, died Oct. 17, 2006 at Lenawee Medical Care Facility in Adrian, Mich.

She was born June 23, 1910, in Hillsdale County, Mich., to Frank and Minnie (Gerver) Robison. She married Clifford Schoonover on June 6, 1931, in Adrian, and he preceded her in death July 8, 2001.

Evadnah was a homemaker who lived in the Morenci area most of her life. She was a member of the Morenci Church of the Nazarene.

Evadnah is survived by two daughters, Melba Barnes and Marvolene (and Richard) Pennington, both of Morenci; a son, Meredith “Stan” (and Jan) Schoonover of Lake Placid, Fla.; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Evadnah was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Marvin; a grandson, Jeffrey Schoonover; a great-grandson, Matthew Tucker, and two sisters, Olive Heiser and Vera Miller.

Funeral services were Oct. 19 at the Morenci Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Dennis Owen officiating. Burial followed in Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. Arrangements were handled by Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci.
