Loretta Sparks Johnson, 71, of Littleton, N.C., died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids, N.C.

Loretta was born April 30, 1937, in Delta, Ohio, the daughter of Isaac and Ella Mae Hildreth Sparks.

She is survived by her husband, Wallace Johnson; mother, Ella of Littleton; a son, Jeff Johnson of Linden, Va.; a brother, Sherman (and Rita) Sparks of Fayette, Ohio; and a sister, Denice (and Lars) Peterson, of Redford, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Douglas Sparks.
