When Fayette’s village council  meets Aug. 14, a proposed amendment to the ordinance governing lawn care will be read for the final time before voting.

When a property owner or person in charge of maintaining a property fails to comply with the ordinance regarding weeds and grass height, a violation notice will be presented.

If no action is taken to correct the problem, a violation sign will be posted in the yard.  The sign must be returned to the village office in its original condition or a $500 fee will be charged.
