Jeanie Thompson seeks Waldron job 4.30

A former Morenci school administrator is one of six candidates vying for the position of Waldron Area Schools superintendent.

Former Morenci Elementary School principal Jeanie Thompson is seeking the top administrative post at Waldron, along with former Sand Creek superintendent Don Barnes, former North Central superintendent Dr. Stephen Lewis, Camden-Frontier principal Mark Hubbard, Eaton Rapids elementary principal Eileen Grant-Ball and Fremont (Ind.) middle school principal Dr. William Stitt.

According to a story in the Hillsdale Daily News, the six candidates will be interviewed this week and the pool will then be narrowed to three finalists for second interviews.

Retired superintendent Fred Bowers has served as interim school chief since February.
