I had the privilege to attend the Morenci Junior Senior prom Saturday evening. Parents, I must tell you, I was impressed by your children.

As each student arrived with his or her date they were greeted at the door and announced as they walked the red carpet to enter the main prom area, which I must say was beautifully decorated, for a fun-filled Hollywood night.

Your children enjoyed an evening of fun, dancing, food and socializing with their friends. It was so nice to see the students enjoying themselves. It was also great to see a group of about 150 students behave as well-mannered young adults.

I was proud of our students. Parents, you can be proud of your sons and daughters.
