MORENCI—Registration is underway for Morenci’s annual Friday night men’s softball league. Organizer Bob Ford describes the league as recreational this season. A 14-game schedule gets underway May 12. The cost is $380 plus a $20 ASA sanction fee. League participants will also be registered in a summer tournament at half price. The deadline for registration hasn’t been set, but a league meeting is planned sometime at the end of April. FAYETTE—Fayette’s park board will sponsor a Tuesday night co-ed league again this year, along with a Friday night men’s league. Recreational co-ed teams need five male and five female players. Both leagues will begin play in April and continue into August with season-ending tournaments. Registration will follow a first-come, first-served plan, so early sign-up is urged.
