Cinda Metcalf to teach knitting 3.12

Get started with knitting in a small way, and then let it grow with your new knowledge.

Cinda Metcalf will teach participants how to knit a “Chinese wave” dishcloth in a two-session program.

Students will learn how to cast and knit in the first session, scheduled at 6:30 p.m. March 24, and then take their project home to continue work.

A week later, March 31, students will learn how to finish, bind off and tuck the yarn.

The cost of the class is $5, which includes yarn for the project. Bring along your own #7, 8 or 9 knitting needles or buy a pair at the class for $4.

A sample of the dishcloth can be seen in the library lobby showcase.

For more information, or to sign up for the class, call the library at 237-2115 or stop in.

APRIL—Tara Conklin will talk about her career in massage and give brief massages.
