Dorris Johnston, 86, of Morenci, died Thursday, March 6, 2008, at the Fulton Manor in Wauseon, Ohio.

She was born July 6, 1921, in Chesterfield Township, Ohio, the daughter of Albert and Nellie (Brink) Wheeler.  On Dec. 24, 1942, in Camp Pendleton, Ore., she married Ellwood “Johnny” Johnston. He preceded her in death Dec. 10, 1994.

Dorris was a homemaker living all of her life in the Morenci area. She was a member of the Morenci Congregational Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra (and Kendall) Pennington of Wauseon, Ohio, and Judith (and Bill) Lumbrezer of Fayette; one son, John (and Debbora) Johnston of Adrian; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Alice (and Boyd) Barden of Lyons, Ohio.

Besides her husband, Dorris was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Berneta Sallows and Helen Halpin.

Funeral service are scheduled at 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, at the Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci with Rev. Jack Cahill officiating.  Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci.

Visitation is planned from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
