Delbert Dickerson, 80, of W. Locust St., Morenci, Mich., died Jan. 6, 2008, at Tendercare of Adrian.

He was born Jan. 22, 1927, in Lenawee County, the son of Ben and Vada (Mansfield) Dickerson. He married Velma Lodsdon on Jan. 16, 1950, in Angola, Ind., and she survives.

Delbert lived in the Morenci area all of his life. He retired from Parker Chemical in Morenci.

Besides his wife, Delbert is survived by two sons, Larry (and Rosemary) Dickerson and Duyane Dickerson, both of Morenci; and two grandchildren, Kay and Justin Dickerson.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Louella and Loretta Cramer; one half-sister, Susie Ford; and one half-brother, Pete Youtzy.

Funeral services are scheduled at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday), at Eagle Funeral Home-Charles Fink Chapel in Morenci with Rev. William VanValkenburg officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci.
