She was born Dec. 7, 1957, to Albert “Ben” and Della “Dottie” (Griewahn) Bender. Glenda’s love of family, ranch life and horses brought her strength during life’s tribulations, and inspired all who  knew her.

Glenda is survived by three children, Sgt. Juan Villarreal of Fort Hood, Texas, Antonio Villarreal of Alabama, and Megan Hassinger at home; her mother, of Fairfield; siblings, Joanna (and Lester) Janish of Morenci, Paul Bender of Toledo, Ohio, Catherine Spangler of Vancouver, Wash., and Theodore (and Heidi) Bender of Adrian.

She was preceded in death by her father; brother-in-law, Pat Spangler; and niece, Eva Vasher.

Burial is planned at Porter Cemetery in Seneca Township at a later date.
