NYC had its cows on parade and other cities have had similar projects. Morenci did paramecium on parade but it didn’t go over all that big. Enjoyed the Elephants on Parade, but don’t give too much credit to NYC’s cows on parade, as New Yorkers just didn’t appreciate cows like Chicago did the year before. See your 07-22-99 issue re Sitings On The Web (cows on parade) where you quoted my bringing the Chicago charity event to your attention.
I was thinking that Chicago started it off with something else other than cows and then NYC followed with cows. I know other cities have chosen other animals.
I very much enjoyed New York City’s display.
