More than 100 people showed up at Stair Public Library Saturday night for Liz Stella’s retirement party. She’s standing in front of a sign that reads “Bee Free, Happy Retirement, Liz.” She has an affinity toward bees.

The Friends of Stair Public Library presented Liz and her husband, Johnny, with an Amtrak travel voucher.

    Liz is beloved in our community. How many of us will be able to say that at retirement?

    She is a sweetheart and will be greatly missed. Colleen is already doing a FANTASTIC job too. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful library in our small town.
