Still settling

Things are still unsettled in Illinois. Earthquake tremors were reported every day last week, Sunday through Friday. Most of it was small stuff, but there was a 4.0 and a 3.7. Here’s the latest. Still lots of activity near Bone Gap. The gap must be growing.

I actually felt the tremors here in East Lansing! I was fortunate enough to be lying awake in bed at the time. First I heard the house creak a few times, then it felt like someone was standing by the bed pushing the mattress back and forth for five to seven seconds. After determining there was no one standing in the room I right away thought there had been an earthquake. I did however, decide not to mention this to anyone until I learned for sure this had been the case. Later Dick said, did you hear about the earthquake - and I could say yea, I felt it!

You’re probably talking about the bigger one on April 21. You should look it up at the link (or take the link from the April 21 blog entry) and report your experience. Look for a link that reads: Quakes in the last 8-30 days; At the bottom of the page there’s a link that reads: Did you feel it?

This was actually on the morning of 4-18.
