Not all subsidies are equal

It’s not news that some crops receive more government subsidies than others (socialist ag, if put in health care terms), but here’s a look at how much:

The study also compared the amount of subsidies that farmers have received in recent years and calculated that rice growers got the most, $217 per acre, while soybean farmers received the least, $9 per acre. The average for all crops was $40 an acre. Corn came in at $50 an acre.
